If you’re familiar with ninjas, assassins and ronins, then I’m sure you’ve heard of Zatoichi, the legendary swordsman.

Zatoichi is a seemingly blind harmless masseuse who loves to gamble. Unfortunately, not everyone knows that he is also skilled with a sword and have found out too late when Zatoichi’s Cane Sword has already sliced through their flesh. Cane Swords, or otherwise known as Shikomizue, are inferior to a katana in that its blade is of lower quality. However as seen in Zatoichi, he is skilled enough to overcome this wall and produce a blade finer than any sharp katana.
