Show off that body fitting of a Spartan warrior with the latest from a long line of 300 movie replicas from Dungeonknight.com. These 300 briefs made of pure leather are fashioned after the source material for the major box office hit under the direction of Zack Snyder, 300, the graphic novel of the same name by writer/artist Frank Miller.
The designers for this line of fully licensed pieces aimed for accuracy as they even underwent consultation with 300 creator Frank Miller himself.
The Spartans as depicted in the graphic novel as well as the movie were depicted wearing as little armor as possible, fitting the ancient Greek idea of “heroic nudity”. This age old Greco-Roman art concept depicts warriors and soldiers alike in the least articles of clothing in order to show off the true and natural beauty of the human body.
300 Director Zack Snyder wanted to showcase a lean and mean Spartan army rippling with muscle from the harsh upbringing of Spartan warrior society that he had his actors train and work out intensively. The actors underwent a strict workout regime handled by Gym Jones, and was overseen by professional mountain climber and world record holder Marc Twight. Training conditions at Gym Jones were in a way relatable to the Spartan upbringing, as there was no air conditioning, no mirrors, and not even comfortable resting places. The workout program lasted 8 weeks and was described by 300 lead actor Gerard Butler as the most difficult thing he has ever had to do in his entire life.
