thumbnail dknight 881003 Relive the Battle of Thermopylae with the 300 king Leonidas HelmetFrom dear Lakonia, from sacred Sparta, this 300 Movie Replica is the perfect addition to any movie aficionado or comic book enthusiast’s collection. The 300 King Leonidas Helmet from Dungeonknight.com perfectly captures the famous Spartan King’s protective headgear from Frank Miller’s critically acclaimed graphic novel 300.

The 300 graphic novel is a fictional re-telling of the historical Battle of Thermopylae wherein the great Spartan King Leonidas along with just 300 soldiers faced off with the thousands of Persian soldiers invading Greece. With their superb tactical maneuvers and vast knowledge of the area, King Leonidas and 300 of Sparta’s bravest men managed to fend off the Persian hordes just in time to stir up the Greek armies into protecting their homelands.

In the movie, King Leonidas proved his worth by leading his men into fighting off the Persian armies, even fighting in the frontlines, fiercely hacking through endless Persian soldiers, cutting through the so-called “Immortals”, even facing off with a gigantic warrior slave. Without the protection of his trusty Spartan helmet, the gigantic foe would have cleaved through Leonidas’s head. But thanks to it, King Leonidas managed to cheat death.

The helmet itself measures at a height of 19 inches, made of steel plated in antiqued brass. It comes fully lined in leather to comfortably fit any noggin, and its adjustable liner allows for any head size. The helm crest is made from the finest horse hairs which exudes the bravery and no-nonsense attitude of the Spartan warrior class as well as the sophistication and intellect of the Greek race.
