The Dungeon Knights has anticipated the demand for new costumes and has since begun a modest selection of offerings under the same theme. We have most of the pirate paraphernalia that you will ever need. From swords to Renaissance hats. We even have a skull & crossbones leather hat which can transform any regular pirate costume to an authentic look.

In reality, Pirates are merely looters who have become romanticized thieves at sea. The fascination probably stems from the witty and often adorably obstinate personalities depicted in popular mainstream movies. The accent and unique pirate slang are understandably interesting to understand and a simply fun to use.

Captain Hook, nemesis of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, is the typical icon used to represent a common pirate – someone with flamboyant tops, a wide feather-capped hat, a wooden leg and a hook for a hand. The amputated appendages are probably a cartoon’s concession that the life of a pirate isn’t safe at all and they are just as likely to lose a limb as soldiers during a war. It just so happens that pirates lose a limb in the process of stealing while soldiers suffer valiantly for an honorable cause and love of country.

One advantage a pirate has, though, is his sense of fashion. Although often seen as messy and unwashed, the style is certainly unique, playful and potentially colorful. Whatever you need to capture the essence of that style, you probably can find at Dungeon Knight.
