em591bg Cosplay Tip 1: Get The Right Clothes

Cosplaying is a fun thing to do, and that is why it has a very large following worldwide. Children and adults, men and women alike have their own cosplay fantasies and they do not mind spending time, effort and money on fulfilling these fantasies. One of the most, if not the most, popular cosplay themes is anime, and this is highly understandable. Anime characters are standouts, with their unique look and outrageous, extravagant appearances. Very big eyes that literally well up when they cry, long wavy hair that sways with the blowing of the wind, super small mouth that will surprise you with a very deafening shout. Such is the attraction of anime and that is why it is not a wonder why anime is one of the most preferred motifs of men and women cosplayers. To be successful at cosplay, you need to get the right clothes, of course. This will entail some super short skirts for women and military jackets for men. Swords, anime swords in particular like the Renji Abarai Samurai Zabimaru Bleach Anime Katana Sword - Burgundy is a must, since no anime hero goes without a weapon. The dresses will always be exaggerated so perhaps a big button there, a shiny medal there. Long socks and school shoes are also musts for women cosplayers, as well as pony tails and braids. For men, long hair is almost always present, and a feminine-like appearance that is backed by the fiercest svelte body and the sharpest of swords.

Favorite Movie: Lord of the Rings

Franchises are a dime a dozen and there are many successful franchises throughout the movie history. A successful franchise requires a good combination of an interesting story, complex characters, a good dosage of humor, some drama for background, a love story perhaps on the side, and of course the obligatory action scenes. The Lord of the Rings is all these and more, and its one plus factor, apart from its characters that are really a product of a very imaginative mind, is its wonderful landscapes and cinematography. Viewers worldwide are taken into this make believe world where there seems to be peace and harmony, yet at the same time, they are also transported to several lands where there is eternal darkness and evil seems to reek in every corner and stop. As is always the case with franchises, the lead character is a simpleton who is destined for greatness, and many people sacrifice their lives for him and the task he is meant to fulfill. He may not be a strongman, but he will always be brave. And he is surrounded by warriors who will pledge their undying allegiance to him, even if it takes their very lives. Such is the case with the Lord of the Rings and we all saw how Frodo changed from a simple human to someone who stopped evil from reigning supreme in the entire land. One of his strongmen is of course Gimli, and you can have a taste of what it’s like to be Gimli with The Lord of the Rings – the Helm of Gimli, available online from the Lord of the Rings Swords line, sold alongside movie swords.

Favorite Movie: Iron Man

Iron Man 2 has recently been shown and there are mixed reviews about the latest installment of this franchise. We can certainly expect that there will be others to follow, whether or not it is another Iron Man movie, or the Avengers. In this installment, Tony Spark has made his Iron Man figure very public, and as is always the case, together with the adulation came the personal battles within himself. Most superheroes has this battle – when their humanity comes into the surface and they are painted as somewhat selfish, prioritizing himself rather than performing his task to serve the public. Superman had this moment and fell in love with Louis Lane, Spiderman had it, too, and it gave way to the Venom. Tony Spark, being just a human anyway without superpowers, albeit aided by very high-tech gadgets, comes to confront his humanity by seeking cure for a disease that seems to be brought upon by his armor. Nevertheless, the world still needs heroes like Iron Man, who can privatize world peace, as he claims he had. Without Iron Man, the world will be helpless against creatures that intend to destroy the world due to their many frustrations in life. Show your appreciation for Iron Man by adding some Iron Man movie replicas to your movie swords collection. These replicas are really very much like the originals, and the Iron Man Helmet Gold for one, is even sized like its original counterpart. So you can put it on sometimes and feel like Tony Spark and maybe you, too, can make the world a peaceful place.

Favorite Movie: Blade

Posted by: Dungeon Knight    in General Stuff

uc1401 Favorite Movie: Blade

Blade is a movie about a half-vampire half-mortal being played by Wesley Snipes, shown in the late nineties. In this movie, vampires are depicted as both good and bad, with the lead vampire played by Snipes (Blade) as a protector of the mortals against his fellow, ill-meaning vampires. While there are so many vampire movies that have been shown, including the most recent successful franchise, Twilight, the movie Blade still holds its own because of the futuristic theme it introduced way back in the nineties. Blade is a daywalker, a vampire that does not get burned by the sun. In the nineties, this concept was so forward, and he was highly envied by other vampires. The sun was one of their biggest nemesis and in fact, the weapon crafted to defeat the other vampires was built around sun – the sun bombs. Of course this is no longer the case in present times, since many vampires are daywalkers – Jacob, Edward, James, to name a few. The idea of a vampire fighting his own to protect men was also unheard of, since most battles have always been that of men versus vampire, or vampires versus vampires. Also, very noteworthy was the fashion that these vampires sported. Long before Matrix became a very popular hit, the leather trench coat had already been made fashionable by Wesley Snipes in this movie. Add some Blade movie replicas to your movie swords collection and nothing can be more fitting than the Blade Sword of the Daywalker.

Favorite Movie: 300

No one can ever forget the movie 300! This movie really redefined the movie going experience for everyone and though it has been shown some three years ago, it is still fondly remembered by everyone, and is still considered as a landmark movie in history. The story in itself is very riveting, that of the 300 men of Sparta bravely facing armies from different nations to defend the right of their country. Gerard Butler made his mark in this movie as King Leonidas, the very brave king of the Spartan men who was at the same time gentle and kind to his disciples, and a very loving husband and father to his wife and son. The cast was perfectly chosen, and the half-naked men that pranced around the movie screens made an impression on both men and women, ensuring that the movie will be equally patronized by both sexes. The graphics is another trademark that has yet to be equaled, though it has been duplicated a dozen times already. The in-your-face brutality that showed heads rolling to one side and spears fiercely getting through ribcages are something that will not easily be forgotten. Though these images may seem gross, it only emphasized the drama more, and the cause that these brave men are fighting for. Add some 300 movie replicas to your movie swords collection and if you are looking for your first 300 movie replica, nothing is more appropriate than the 300 King Leonidas Helmet. King Leonidas, after all, ensured the freedom of Sparta by sacrificing his very life.

Honorable Sword

Posted by: Dungeon Knight    in General Stuff

ch1014w Honorable Sword

Anime swords and their replicas are made from different materials. Some of them can be made from stainless steel, some can be crafted out of high fiber carbon steel, and some will have wood as its material. Each of these different materials will have their own advantages and disadvantages, as is always the case. The lightest of swords will be made of high fiber carbon steel, they are extremely durable, and they are also more resistant to the elements. But these will also be the most expensive of all. Samurai swords made of stainless steel will be less expensive, but because they are made of stainless steel only, they will be heavier than those made of high fiber carbon steel. But just like its more expensive counterpart, they will be resistant to the elements, even resistant to rust. Wooden swords will be the most affordable of the three types of swords, but they will also be the most prone to being damaged by the elements. Firstly, they are not waterproof and in fact they store water. After some time they will be brittle or perhaps will have some cracks. But, if you are looking at swords as just token swords, or swords that are up for display only and not to be used for fighting, then wooden swords will suffice, like the Abarai’s Renji Zanpakut-Wooden Replica Sword.

A Very Unique Anime Sword

Posted by: Dungeon Knight    in General Stuff

em8018 A Very Unique Anime Sword

Crafting samurai swords requires a certain level of expertise, and those who can actually craft swords are excellent artisans. They know how to handle the materials and tools. Although it may seem simple, it is actually a very delicate craft that requires a certain level of expertise. See how thin swords usually are? Because of their thinness, they tend to be very slender, sometimes yielding and bending sideways, if they are not crafted the right way. At the same time, they cannot be too thick because they will be too heavy to yield and swordfighters will not like a heavy sword that limits them, rather than helps them fight. Following this logic, longer swords are more complicated, since they tend to be more slender. So imagine having extra long anime swords– these will require the most superior of sword craftsman. The Extra Long Bleach Replica Sword Black Blade with Chain is without a doubt one of the most impressive replica swords in the market. Sure, replica swords may not be swords that are meant for fighting, but it does not mean that they are easier to craft. With the level of details dedicated to making sure that the replica actually looks like the original, the same level of expertise is similarly required to come up with a convincing copy. And the fact that the swords they are modeled after are tremendously popular makes it all the more difficult to produce replica swords. Thankfully there are excellent artists out there who can craft replica swords that really look like the original.

The Samurai Outperforms All

Posted by: Dungeon Knight    in General Stuff

c698 2BK The Samurai Outperforms All

Weapons are always crucial in any battle, they can make or break the fight and they can determine the outcome of the duel. Depending on the skills of the weapons handler, a weapon can be a very deadly item or just another fancy tool. Similarly, a very good warrior will find it hard to win any fight if he is pitted against an equally skilled warrior with a good set of weapon at his disposal.

The Samurai is one of the most beloved weapon of choice, whether in Japan where it originates, or elsewhere in the world. This is the weapon of many action movies and anime shows, that is why it gained worldwide popularity. But other than that, it is a very efficient and sturdy weapon that is reliable during fights. Many famous action figures prefers the samurai swordsor its variations. Renji Abarai prefers the Zabimaru while Kenshin Himura prefers the Reverse Blade Katana. Other action figures will have their own preferences, and this will also depend on their style of fighting. One of the more noteworthy warriors is Roronoa Zoro, a very famous anime action warrior. His methodology is known as “santoryu” wherein he holds three different anime swordsat any one time, and that is why this is called the three sword style. This is probably why in the story, he becomes the greatest swordsman in the world. And that is not surprising, considering that he holds one sword in each hand, and another in his mouth.
