The ‘Santoryu’

em0054 The ‘Santoryu’

Have you ever heard of Roronoa Zolo? He is one of the members of the widely famous group the Strawhat Pirates, together with Nami, Ussop, Sanji, Chopper, Robun and Captain Lufty. Each one of these pirates have their own unique characteristics and their own favorite anime swords , and Zolo is one of the more interesting characters in this group. He used to work as a bounty hunter in the past, earning him the nickname Pirate Hunter. He stands out among his other groupmates because he is practicing the art of Santoryu. The Santoryu is a very difficult three-sword style. You’d need to hold and yield swords from the left and the right, and the third one such as a Yubashiri First Sword of Zolo-Replica is held by the mouth. This is not an easy feat, and only the truly agile and alert can handle this. Anyone who can perform this task repeatedly without harming himself is certainly a great warrior, and very much worthy of the honor that was bestowed to him. Not only does it exhibit superior warfare skills, it also displays innovation in maximizing the body for fight. Anyone who can think this way and come up with the three sword fighting stance is someone who is a visionary, who sees beyond borders, who defies convention just to be excellent in his craft. He is one who is connected to his passion, and that is the passion for swordfight. Roronoa Zolo is all these and more and that is why he graduated to become the greatest swordfighter of all.

Sword of the Soul Reaper

Posted by: Dungeon Knight    in General Stuff

ch1014w Sword of the Soul Reaper

In the anime series Bleach, spirits known as Soul Reapers guide the souls of the dead to the afterlife that awaits them, and in so doing, protect those from hostile elements that would seek to do them harm as they are guided to more peaceful locales.  Among those hostile elements are vile spirits known as the Hollows, who, having lost their souls by losing their Chains of Fate, seeks to destroy those they once loved both in life and in the afterlife.  Soul Reapers use a manifestation of their souls as a weapon known as the Zanpakut, such as the one possessed by Reiji Abarai.  With the distinctive hilt of a katana, this weapon is long with a flattened “scythe” head tip that gives it a link to the scythe of a grim reaper.  Fans of the Bleach anime series probably already know that a live-action version of the series is in the works.  Understanding that what translates onto the big screen may not be as exact as the printed version, it might behoove the Bleach fan to possess something that’ll give him a bit of bragging rights.  By having a replica of the Soul Reaper’s weapon, such as the Abarai’s Reiji Zanpakut-Wooden Replica Sword, you’ll have something that is likely to be more authentic and true to the stories than the translation put to the live-action version.  Roughly the same size as other samurai swords, this zanpakut is beautifully made and comes with an exquisite saya, or scabbard, that makes a wonderful display alongside other anime swords.  An absolute must for any fan of Bleach and any sword collector.

Compare This Anime Sword to the Live-Action Film Version

em8018 Compare This Anime Sword to the Live Action Film Version

If you’re a fan of the anime series Bleach, you may be aware of the news that there is a live-action film in the works.  And when that comes out it will be nice to know how well they keep their attention to detail of what the anime series depicted.  Many filmmakers put their own slant on things mostly because what often appears in novel or in graphic form doesn’t always translate well into a live-action film.  With that in mind, consider if the filmmakers can do any better than this translation of anime swords than this Extra Long Bleach Replica Sword Black Blade with Chain.  At a distinctive sixty-eight inches in length with a beautiful pommel and hilt taken directly from the anime depictions, this beautiful weapon is made of high carbon steel, and is of a quality that any Soul Reaper would be impressed with.  Longer than other samurai swords, this weapon might otherwise be known as a saddle-cutter, or No-Daichi, which is a cavalry blade used by both heavy infantry and cavalry forces during Japan’s feudal wars of the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries.  Though they probably won’t let you bring this or other superb anime swords in the theater when Bleach finally makes it to the big screen, you can keep this around to show your fellow fans if whether or not this weapon, or the one on shown on screen, is more closely accurate and true to the original Bleach anime series.  And even if you’re not a fan of either Bleach or anime, the exquisite elegance of this unique black sword is a must for any collector to have.

Make Other Anime Fans Green with Envy

The katana is considered by many to be the greatest sword ever developed in history.  Known for its amazing slicing ability, the katana was the centerpiece of Japanese samurai sword culture.  It was considered the honorable samurai’s soul, his devotion to his duty both to his lord and to his family.  Beautiful in design, with its distinctive curved blade and the delicate waves in the flat of the blade indicating the sacred craftsmanship that went into it, it’s no surprise how fondly this weapon has been revered over the centuries.  Today, we find our modern action heroes of anime wielding such a weapon proudly as they slash their enemies to ribbons with poise and grace that only a weapon like the katana can impart.  While many anime swords have utilized some or all of the design looks of these samurai swords, some have departed in various ways from the traditional katana design.  For instance, the action hero Kenshin Himura wields the unusual Reverse Blade Katana, where the actual cutting blade is on the inside curve of the weapon instead of the outside as a normal katana would have.  Renji Abarai, the Soul Reaper from the Bleach anime series, prefers the more slender Zabimaru katana along with the odd-looking Zanpakut Soul-Reaper weapon.  Such anime swords are available as replicas for the anime fan who appreciates their stories and the weapons their heroes wield, and the bragging rights they’ll have once they show them around to their friends, who may no doubt be green with envy.

ks8149 For Freedom

The Scots did not like it when the English settled over their land. They crashed in on their wedding parties and even had the nerve to get the first taste of the brides. A certain lad named William Wallace especially didn’t like it when the English slit his wife’s throat just because she fought back when they were molesting her. He avenged her by taking over the English camps and killing every one in sight. His army grew in retaliation and despise of the English. Even with his capture, torture and execution, William Wallace never denied his Scottish heritage and demanded for freedom and independence from the colonization of the English. During the waring years, the broadsword was used as the primary fighting sword. The brave William Wallace used a variation of the broadsword, the claymore. It is a distinct Scottish two-handed sword with a cross hilt. His original sword was held in Loudoun Castle for many years. It is now displayed in the Wallace Monument near Stirling, Scotland. The life of William Wallace was featured in the movie “Braveheart” starring Mel Gibson as the titular character. With movie replica, you can have your own William Wallace Claymore Sword. Tonight, We Dine in Hell!

Every action and comic book buff has more or less seen the movie version of Frank Miller’s epic illustration “300”. It is a classic underdog story. The Persians want to take over the land and the Spartans won’t have it any of it. So, three hundred half-dressed Spartans led by their strong leader King Leonidas goes up against the invading Persians led by King Xerxes. It is a struggle of wit, pride, betrayal, hellish bloodshed, mindless murder and pretty heavy one-liners. The brave Spartans may have lost the battle but after taking so many more Persian with them and inspiring fear into the enemy, they have won the war. The movie has sex, gore and lots of rippling muscles and spurting blood. It also incorporates stunning visual and special effects that add a comic book feel to it. Clad only in a helmet, red cape, tights and sandals, the Spartans may have been a bit ridiculously dressed for battle but at least all bloodshedding won’t leave a stain. They are so confident in their killing skills with a spear and a sword with only a shield to protect them. Being a Spartan sure is sexy. Now with the 300 Movie Replicas, you can become a Spartan. Equipped with your 300 Spartan Sword, go kick some ass and hack some Persian dudes. You may not be as ripped as the guys in the movie but having one of these movie swords will surely make one hardcore badass out of you. This is definitely Sparta!

Handmade Swords of High Quality

Posted by: Dungeon Knight    in Fantasy Swords

Handmade swords are naturally special swords that have been produced after long hours of hard labor and dedicated craftsmanship. All the details in handmade swords are very complex, generally, and it will take superior craftsmanship to execute the design to perfection. Each handmade sword takes days of focused labor to be produced, sometimes days, sometimes even weeks or months. Depending on the complexity of the design and the capability of the sword maker, one handmade sword can be produced by tens or by hundreds, but the really complex ones will probably be produced in a very limited mode.  That is why, handmade swords are generally more expensive than its factory-made counterparts. The Handmade Samurai Katana – Black – 40.5 Inches is a good example of a quality handmade sword that bears a complicated design. While it may be just a replica, it is very authentic-looking and the proportions are of such accuracy that the whole thing really looks like a real katana sword. The katana is probably one of the most widely recognized swords in the world. It has a blunt end and it is most famous for being seen on the widescreen in many action movies such as Kill Bill. Most Japanese action films will make use of the katana, and even some hara kiri scenes are done with a katana. The katana cuts in one clean, swift stroke and therefore it is a very nice tool to collect. And next to a real katana, there are replica swords like the Handmade Samurai Katana – Black – 40.5 Inches that are so much alike their real counterparts.
